Dove | America the Beautiful

This campaign contributed to a Cannes Lions Glass Lion GRAND PRIX and a Cannes Lions GRAND PRIX in Creative Strategy. Also recognized by One Show, Clios, Marketing Awards, Atomic Awards and the global Unilever Annual Marketing Awards.

Dove wanted to show its continuing support of the Black Lives Matter movement in the midst of the George Floyd protests. We dispatched six black photographers to four different US cities and juxtaposed the images against a rare recording of "America the Beautiful" by the late, great Ray Charles. Our film was airing on US television ten days after we got briefed. (The ad ran on TV as a 30-second edit. This video is actually the online edit.)

A "must watch. … Equally inspiring and upsetting. … Dove has proven once again that it is a brand committed to using its reach, capital, and influence to truly do the work as an ally to the Black community." – Essence
